This is Klarity Learning Center's Flag Ship Premier Program.
The Group Tutoring services are private English tutoring lessons designed by Academically Certified Teachers with many years of successful practice. Klarity Learning Center delivers private tutoring at the North American standard with a specific targeted approach to teaching the English language in reading comprehension and writing for Middle and High school-aged students. Each program is 12 weeks in duration, with classes starting at the beginning of each month.

- Weekly homework check-in (two submissions per week) for students to get direct 1-on-1 support for their specific questions AND reinforcement assignments to help the students with their assignments and understanding
- Monthly assessments and a Final Assessment with recommendations for the next steps

Our unique learning Method, "The 4R Success Strategy" targets the student's direction in learning efficiently and effectively, helping the student achieve results and gain confidence. The 4R Success strategy has been developed by Michael Gould, the founder of Klarity Learning Center, through nearly 3 decades of teaching English Studies.
The 4 R Success Strategy: Redirect-Reflect-Revise-Reinforce. This learning method specifically targets writing strategies specific to the audience rapidly and comprehensively.
- Redirect: students have a style that they are comfortable with; this approach encourages students to step outside their comfort zone and challenges them to adapt their writing toward greater competency in expression of style and impact
- Reflect: as the students learn new strategies, they reflect on the strategies to incorporate them into their own unique style and voice that is appropriate for each type of audience addressed in each written expression
- Revise: as the students learn new strategies and begin to recognize and edit their own work, they gain the confidence to make changes and reach higher levels of understanding in their writing
- Reinforce: students will continue to adapt their writing through repetition, having many opportunities to adapt their writing.in tasks, assignments, and essays - in fact, they will write more in this 12-week program than they will in a semester or even a year of a school English program

English Programs
Each grade has 3 distinct programs specific to each grade level, and student ability.
High School and Middle School Programs
Proficiency Scale to Determine Appropriate Program for each Student
- 001: Developing (50-70% average grade): Mechanics of the sentence, paragraph, and essay
- 002: Proficient (70-85% average grade) Vocabulary, Sentence Variety, and Introduction to Inferencing
- 003: Extending (86-100% average grade): Style and Voice, Inference, and Rhetorical Devices
High School: Grade 9-12 Programs
- 001 Developing Program: Mechanics of the sentence, paragraph, and Essay
- This student receives grades at or below 70% or a "Developing" grade on the Proficiency Scale
- This program is for students demonstrating written expression with sentence structure that relies heavily on sentences that are simple and repetitive and lack a variety of complex and compound-complex sentences, disrupting the flow within the writing. Paragraphs and essays for this student are often organized randomly without the specific format for each writing style and often lack key components such as examples and explanations to support their ideas.
- 002 Proficient Program: Vocabulary, Sentence Variety, and Introduction to Inferencing
- This student receives grades at or below 85% or a "Proficient" grade on the Proficiency Scale
- This program is for students who demonstrate the correct format for writing styles in expository writing but require specific vocabulary for written expression. Essentially, the student writes like they speak, using common words that are vague, overused, and repetitive. This student can use a variety of simple and complex sentences but lacks the sentence variety at the beginning, middle, and end of sentences to improve the readability of their expression. This student's inferencing skill is limited, lacking depth in reading comprehension and written expression to make connections beyond surface observations; thus, their expression is missing the complexity of meaningful engagements about the literature.
- 003: Extending Program: Style and Voice, Inference, and Rhetorical Devices
- This student receives grades at or below 100% or an "Extending" grade on the Proficiency Scale
- This program is for students who demonstrate strong sentence variety, appropriate and specific vocabulary, and specific organization in their paragraphs and essays; however, they wish to go beyond expectations to write clearly and concisely, and to understand the nuances of style and voice to create the specific tone of their expression, improve their reading comprehension and expression of their inference to the literature's complexity, and adopt strategies that use rhetorical devices in their analyses of literature, such as persuasion through logic (logos), emotion (pathos), and credibility (ethos), and literary devices such as metaphor, simile, irony, allegory, and personification.
Middle School: Grade 6-8 Programs
This program is for grade 6, 7, and 8 students to expand their vocabulary, reading comprehension, description in writing, and paragraph and essay composition at their grade level. The middle school years are a time of rapid change in maturity and academic challenge. The focus of the online English tutoring by our Klarity English Tutoring Team is to scaffold students' learning to challenge their understanding in reading comprehension and written expression. Vocabulary development and progression is a key focus in the students' study plan with the Klarity Tutor Team online specialists in tutoring English. As well, the programs teach note taking and test preparation. This program also includes specific English Language Learners (ELL)/English as a Second Language (ESL) Learners strategies.
How to Choose the Correct Course for the Student
Because parents understand their child's strengths and weaknesses in English Studies, choosing either level 001 or level 002 or level 003 at their grade level is a good start. Next, the program coordinator at Klarity Learning Center will place the student in the appropriate level.
